The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official tentative exam date sheet for the CBSE Class 10th and 12th session 2025-2026 on its official website. CBSE Board 10th Exam will be held from 17 February 2026 to 09 March 2026 and the CBSE Class 12th Exam will be held from 17 February 2026 to 09 April 2026. CBSE Board 10th / 12th Examination 2025-26: Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Attendance Requirement: Students must have at least 75% attendance in their respective classes to be eligible for the board exams. In cases of genuine reasons such as medical emergencies or participation in national/international events, schools may grant relaxation upon submission of valid documents.
- Passing Marks: A minimum of 33% marks is required in each subject to pass. For subjects involving practicals, students must secure 33% separately in both theory and practical components.
- Internal Assessments: Students must obtain a grade higher than ‘E’ in all internal assessments. Failure to do so may result in withholding of the external examination results.
- Compartment Exams: Students failing in one or two subjects are eligible to appear for compartment exams scheduled in May or June 2026.
- Subject Selection: Students are required to finalize their subject choices during the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC). Changes to subject choices after LOC submission are generally not permitted.
