Detailed Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: All educational qualifications must be from a recognized University/Board, and the result must have been declared on or before 21.09.2025. Final-year students are eligible only if they can produce proper documents proving their results were officially declared on or before this cutoff date.
- Office Assistants & Officer Scale-I: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, plus 2 years of experience.
- Officer Scale-II (Specialists): IT Officer requires a degree in Electronics/Comm/CS/IT with 50% marks and 1 year experience; Chartered Accountant requires ICAI certification and 1 year experience; Law Officer requires a Law degree with 50% marks and 2 years advocacy/banking experience; Treasury Manager requires CA or MBA Finance and 1 year experience; Marketing Officer requires an MBA in Marketing and 1 year experience; Agricultural Officer requires a relevant Agriculture/Horticulture/Veterinary degree with 50% marks and 2 years experience.
- Officer Scale-III: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Percentage Calculation Rule: Percentage is calculated to the nearest two decimals by dividing total marks obtained in all subjects (including honors/optional subjects) across all semesters by the aggregate maximum marks, then multiplying by 100. The fraction of percentage arrived will be completely ignored (e.g., 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%, and 54.99% as less than 55%). Where CGPA/OGPA is awarded, candidates must convert it into a percentage based on their university's exact criteria and produce documentary proof of this conversion metric.
Age Limit & Cutoff Dates (As of 01.09.2025):
- Office Assistants: Between 18 and 28 years (born between 02.09.1997 and 01.09.2007).
- Officer Scale-I: Above 18 and below 30 years (born between 02.09.1995 and 01.09.2007).
- Officer Scale-II: Above 21 and below 32 years (born between 02.09.1993 and 01.09.2004).
- Officer Scale-III: Above 21 and below 40 years (born between 02.09.1985 and 01.09.2004). (Note: Both cutoff dates are inclusive).
Age Relaxation Rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 years.
- PwBD: 10 years.
- Ex-Servicemen (Office Assistants): Actual period of service rendered plus 3 years (8 years for Disabled SC/ST Ex-Servicemen), subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.
- Commissioned Officers/Ex-Servicemen (Officers): 5 years.
Cumulative Relaxation: The relaxation for SC/ST/OBC is permitted on a cumulative basis alongside only one of the remaining categories (like PwBD or Ex-Servicemen).
Nationality/Citizenship: A candidate must be a Citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or select East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Credit History/CIBIL Rules: Candidates must maintain a healthy Credit history. Those whose CIBIL status is not updated before joining must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the lender stating there are no outstanding dues regarding adversely reflected accounts, failing which the offer of employment may be cancelled. Candidates without a bank account are exempt from this clause.
Exhaustive Reservation Rules (EWS & PwBD)
EWS (Economically Weaker Section):
- Income Limit: Family gross annual income must be below Rs. 8.00 lakh for the financial year prior to application.
- Asset Ownership Disqualifiers: Irrespective of family income, a candidate is instantly excluded from EWS if their family owns or possesses any of the following exact assets:
- 5 acres of Agricultural Land and above.
- Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above.
- Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities.
- Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than notified municipalities. (Note: Properties held by a "Family" in different locations or cities are strictly clubbed together to determine EWS status).
PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): Reservation applies strictly to those with not less than 40% of a specified benchmark disability. Categories include:
- VI (Visual Impairment): Includes Blindness (total absence of sight, visual acuity less than 3/60, or field of vision under 10 degrees) and Low Vision.
- HI (Hearing Impaired): Includes Deaf (70 DB hearing loss in both ears) and Hard of Hearing (60 to 70 DB loss).
- OC (Orthopedically Challenged): Includes locomotor disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, and Acid Attack Victims.
- ID (Intellectual Disability): Includes Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disability, and Mental Illness.
Scribe Rules: The candidate must arrange their own scribe at their own cost. The scribe's qualification must be a minimum of "two academic years below" and a maximum of "three academic years below" the candidate's minimum exam qualification. The scribe cannot act as a scribe for more than one candidate and cannot be a registered candidate for the CRP RRB XIV exam themselves. Candidates eligible for a scribe, or those who have registered for it, are allowed a compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination.
Selection Process & Cut-off Rules

Cut-offs and Tie-Breaker Rules:
- Candidates must clear Sectional Cut-offs (a minimum score in each individual test) as well as Overall Cut-offs (scoring sufficiently high on the Total score in order of merit) to be shortlisted.
- Normalization: Scores obtained in different exam sessions are normalized using the equi-percentile method, calculated up to two decimal points.
- Tie-Breaker: If two or more candidates obtain the same score, the merit order is decided strictly by date of birth, where the candidate senior in age is placed above the junior candidate.

Salary & Probation Details: Specific base salary amounts and distinct allowances are not outlined in this notification document. However, regarding probation rules, candidates who do not meet the local language proficiency at the time of selection are granted exactly six months from their date of joining to acquire it. This duration can be extended by the RRB Boards, provided the extension does not go beyond the candidate's total probation period.

Identity Verification & Biometric Capture Rules
Valid ID Proofs Allowed: PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving License, Voter's Card with photograph, Bank Passbook with photograph, Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer or People's Representative on official letterhead, Identity Card issued by a recognized college or university, Aadhaar/E-Aadhaar card with photograph, Employee ID, or Bar Council Identity card with photograph. Strictly Banned IDs: Ration Card and Learner's Driving License will absolutely NOT be accepted as valid ID proof. Name Change Rules: Candidates who have changed their name will only be allowed into the exam if they produce an original Gazette notification, an original marriage certificate, or an affidavit in original. Biometric Rules: The Right thumb impression is designated for biometric capture.
Disqualifiers & Exceptions: Fingers coated in stamped ink, mehndi, or color must be thoroughly washed off before the exam. Fingers must be strictly dry and free of dirt/dust or moisture. If the primary right thumb is injured or damaged, the candidate must instantly notify the center authority, and impressions of other fingers or toes may be captured instead. Refusal to participate in biometric verification leads to instant cancellation of candidature.
Document Upload Specifications (Exhaustive Technical Details)
- Photograph: Dimensions must be 200 x 230 pixels, with a file size between 20kb and 50kb. Must be a recent color picture taken against a light-colored or white background. Exceptions: Caps, hats, and dark glasses are strictly banned; religious headwear is allowed but must not cover the face. Live photo capture via webcam or mobile phone is also mandatory.
- Signature: Dimensions must be 140 x 60 pixels, with a file size between 10kb and 20kb. It must be written on white paper with a Black ink pen. Disqualifiers: Signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS will strictly be rejected.
- Left Thumb Impression: Dimensions must be 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (3 cm x 3 cm), with a file size between 20kb and 50kb. Must be stamped on white paper with black or blue ink. Exceptions: If the left thumb is missing, the right thumb can be used. If both thumbs are missing, any finger or a left toe can be used, provided the specific appendage used is documented and specified in the upload.
- Hand-written Declaration: Dimensions must be 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (10 cm x 5 cm), with a file size between 50kb and 100kb. It must be written strictly in English on white paper with black ink. Disqualifiers: The text MUST NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS, and it will be rejected if written by a proxy (anybody else) or in another language.
Misconduct, Banned Items & Legal Acts
Banned Items: The following items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall: Textual material, bits of paper, geometry/pencil boxes, plastic pouches, calculators, scales, writing pads, pen drives, log tables, electronic pens/scanners, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, goggles, handbags, hair-pins, hair-bands, belts, caps, watches, cameras, any metallic items, and any eatable items (opened or packed). All ornaments like rings, earrings, nose-pins, chains, necklaces, pendants, badges, and brooches will be thoroughly checked and are restricted. Legal Acts and Unfair Means: The exam is strictly regulated under 'THE PUBLIC EXAMINATIONS (PREVENTION OF UNFAIR MEANS) ACT, 2024'.
Legal Consequences: This act legally deters unfair means such as leaking question papers, tampering with OMR sheets, accessing answer keys without authority, altering assessments, or creating fake websites and admit cards. All offences under this act are cognizable, non-bailable, and non-compoundable.
Penalties: Candidates found guilty of misconduct or utilizing unfair means face criminal prosecution, permanent debarment from all IBPS examinations, disqualification from the current exam, and immediate termination of service if they have already joined a Regional Rural Bank.
